First time we have this vintageprint in our collection.It is a 1960 French advertisement for Christian Dior hosiery.It originally appeared in a French magazine.It is NOT a recent reproduction print.It is a strong black and white image, illustrated and signed by Rene Gruau with his iconic “g” marking. The creative friendship between Christian Dior and the illustrator Rene Gruau was a collaboration which celebrated a special spirit that continued for many years, even after Dior’s death in 1957. Gruau’s breathtaking use of bold imagery and strong graphic lines enhances the allure of Dior’s fashion creations.
