More About This Item:
If you’re craving something substantial, storied, and beautifully made, this Pennsylvania House block front chest checks every box. Crafted from solid cherry and designed in a Chippendale revival style, this piece features four spacious dovetailed drawers, a graceful serpentine profile, and classic brass hardware that feels just the right kind of ornate.

This is the kind of dresser you’d expect to find in a New England manor, or a Nancy Meyers film where even the guest bedroom gets its moment. It works wonderfully as a traditional bedroom dresser, but it also makes a strong case for use in an entryway or home office. Use it to store documents, sweaters, or even table linens—whatever you tuck inside, it’ll feel elevated.

Design Style:
Rooted in 18th-century design but crafted with late 20th-century durability, this piece reflects the American fascination with colonial revival and English-style furniture during the mid-century and postwar years. The block front is pure Chippendale with curves, symmetry, and a regal silhouette that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Pair it with a gilded mirror or a moody oil painting, and you’ve got instant East Coast prep meets time Americana.

Brand Legacy:
Pennsylvania House was one of the most respected American furniture brands of the 20th century, known for crafting high-quality, solid wood pieces with traditional styling. Founded in 1887, the company specialized in heirloom-quality case goods made from cherry and maple, and became synonymous with craftsmanship and time design.

This wood storage chest represents the brand’s commitment to detail, from the smooth-gliding drawers to the rich finish that only gets better with age. Whether you’re starting your collection or adding to a historic home, this is a piece that will never go out of style.See
