Description
This pair of Lane Cosmopolitan end tables have been linked to designer Paul McCobb. It is believed that McCobb was partnering with Lane during the time that the Cosmopolitan line was created.
These side tables have a walnut grain that really stands out after refinishing. And the 4″ x 6″ off-white tiles are stunning with mod gold rectangle outlines; made by artisans of Onda, Spain (as shown in a close-up photo). Not to waste space, the tables also have a walnut shelf that floats between tapered legs, accented with metal rings.
* shelf surface is 7-1/4″ from the floor

The pair have been sanded just enough to minimize imperfections and refinished in clear satin. The 4″ x 6″ tiles were removed and cleaned; which revealed they were made in Spain. The old brittle channels around the tiles were replaced with new grout. There are minimal shallow scratches in the wood that do not effect the beauty of the tables.
