Om Collection Yakisugi Modern Organic Sculpture

Description

OM Sculpture Collection. Created 2023 by Benjamin Arseguel.

Inspired by Nature, the Elements and the Infinite Cosmos, the branch of a Texas Pecan tree becomes a very sensual, mysterious object via the Ancient Japanese technique of Yakisugi — or Shou-sugi-ban — the repeated, deep charring of Wood with Fire. Layers of wood are removed to reveal what was always present.

Salvaged pecan-wood sealed with Tried and True non-toxic Beeswax Finish; solid steel base heat-sealed with beeswax.

Measures 17″H x 12″W x 4″D.

Each OM Sculpture is unique. This one swivels.See
