Description
Phil-Mar Corporation of Cleveland Ohio known throughout the 1940’s-1970’s for their ceramic and other table lamps that are styled in the mid-century modern look. The company is known for its flaw “drip” ceramic look and here are two excellent examples of this heritage.
Both lamps with shade are 35.5” tall
My grandparents built a new brick home in 1959 in Ohio and bought these two as part of their new (never lived in) home’s living room that was almost never entered or used. Basically these two lamps became instant museum pieces. Now, they are available to buy for your own museum.
I have the two identical living room table lamps in Phil-Mar’s signature drip ceramic glaze in two-tone brown featuring a neutral look and appearance and easily coordinating with most any room.. The lamp shades are perfect for their age and are original. All functions of both lamps work exactly as they should without any issues. The ceramic lamps rest on burnished or matte brass bases.
The lamps and shades are in mint condition and are ready to become part of your home.
measurement is 35″ from bottom of lamp base to the top of lamp (add 4-5″ extra additional for top part of shade). Both lamps are what Iconsider primary lighting items and are large.See

Both lamps are in very good condition. The ceramic is flaw, no cracks and the electrical seems to be good, taking into consideration they are 66 years old. The lamp shades are fragile but in average condition again considering their age. There are slight imperfections but as you can see nothing stands out – they are just old. Disclaimer: condition of the electrical cannot be 100% verified as accurate as I am not a licensed electrician. A modern rewiring would not be a bad idea for peace of mind.
