ARTIST BIO:
American artist Carrie Bergey’s work invites us to her creative and meditative play space. As a traveler drawn to the mystery of the unreachable horizon line, Bergey creates each piece with a unique and familiar resonance to draw us to her journey. She uses muted neutral shades with subtle hues of color, nebulous shapes, and nostalgic forms to generate a particular reminiscence for each of us. Her atmospheric white space gives the mind a moment to rest and reflect. Meanwhile, her texture and composition of natural materials recall her eco-centric approach to life and art. Each piece draws us into the present moment, suggesting we embrace our curiosity.
Many of her works are a “play of light” that shifts from day to night, moment to moment, creating a sense of nostalgia, revealing perpetual layers and an individual juncture experience for each viewer.See
