* Each shade is unique, embracing the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi – the beauty of imperfection. Hand-applied gold leaf creates a warm, textured glow, with each segment carefully placed to form a one-of-a-kind mosaic. Subtle gaps and fissures are a natural part of this artisanal process, enhancing the character of each piece. If you appreciate handcrafted artistry, you’ll love the ambiance these shades create. However, if you prefer a uniform, mass-produced look, this design may not be the best fit for you. We love the warm light it casts.
* Each marble base is one-of-a-kind, shaped from natural stone formed by the earth. At NOVA, we have a long-standing tradition of using real marble in our arc lamp bases, not only for stability, but also for its time beauty. As an organic material, natural marble features unique variations in veining, tone, and surface finish, making every piece distinctive. If you prefer a uniform, mass-produced look, real marble may not be the best fit for you, but we love its warmth and the way natural materials bring character into a home.
