French Restauration Period Console

Description

Crafted just after the French Empire period; this exquisite console is a rare and striking example of Restauration-era design. Made in France around 1850; the piece is constructed from richly carved Cuban flamed mahogany; celebrated for its dramatic grain and deep; lustrous tone. Distinguished by its exceptional scale and length; this one-of-a-kind console features a single; generously sized drawer—an uncommon and practical element for pieces of this kind. The original Saint Anne marble top; sourced from the French Alps; crowns the piece with time elegance. With its refined neoclassical lines and commanding presence; this console is both a functional and sculptural statement.See
