Description
A postmodern “Lipari” side table designed by Ettore Sottsass for Zanotta, Italy 1992. Original label adhered on underside. Silk-screened laminate top on beech wood with an anthracite ceramic base. Characterized by its bold geometric motif in purple and blue. The base is a vase-like form, blending function and sculptural form. A vibrant example of Sottsass’s late-career work, the “Lipari” design reflects his hallmark Memphis-era aesthetic—playful, unconventional, and rooted in expressive visual language. Manufactured by Zanotta, a key proponent of radical Italian design. This side table is both a collectible and functional work of postmodern art.
