Domed Top English Tea Caddy With Parquetry Banding

Description

A beautifully crafted mid 19th century English tea caddy featuring a graceful domed top and refined parquetry banding. Dating to circa 1860, this caddy showcases warm, richly toned wood and precise geometric inlay that adds both texture and elegance to its classic form.

The curved lid lifts to reveal the original interior compartments traditionally used to store black and green teas, still lined and retaining their period charm. The piece rests on a flat base, offering a sturdy and balanced presence whether displayed on a sideboard, desk, or shelf. A lovely example of victorian era decorative woodwork, this tea caddy blends everyday function with time English craftsmanship.
