Danish Rosewood Credenza by Svend Aage Larsen for Faarup Mobelfabrik

Description

Svend Aage Larsen’s rosewood credenza for Faarup Møbelfabrik is Danish modern at its most refined—sleek, storage-savvy, and impeccably crafted.

Across the base, twin tambour doors glide open to reveal three generous compartments plus four felt-lined drawers—ideal for flatware, linens, or media accessories. Above, a “floating” hutch appears to hover, its slim frame holding sliding glass doors that showcase prized objects while keeping dust at bay. The entire composition rests lightly on four tapered conical legs, emphasizing the cabinet’s horizontal lines and letting that dramatic rosewood grain take center stage.

Equal parts statement piece and workhorse, this credenza delivers showroom-worthy style with everyday function—perfect for the dining room, office, or living space that demands a touch of Scandinavian sophistication.See
