Chinese Export Porcelain Large Armorial Tankard,
Circa 1780

The stunning Chinese Export porcelain armorial tankard is circular with a taper towards the foot.There is a coat of arms on the front and a loop handle on the other side.Around the foot is a band of gilt Greek key on an iron-red ground.On the sides is a large gray wash cornucopia filled with a full collection of colorful flowers while to either side of the handle are two pairs of fruit and flowers.On one side a pairof orange fruits on a green stems while on the other side is a green branch holding two roses.

Around the rim is a wide band of gilt scrolls overlaid in famille rose with a rococo design of leaves and flowers.

Dimensions: 5 1/4 inches high x 6 inches wide x 4 1/4 inches deep; (13.34cm high x 15.24cm wide x 10.80cm deep).
