Blue and White Ceramic Kitchen Set

Description

This elegant ceramic set features a striking blue and white hand-painted floral motif, reminiscent of traditional European and Asian porcelain styles. The geometric hexagonal shape of the jars and pitcher adds a unique, architectural feel, contrasting beautifully with the fluid, scrolling floral and vine patterns. The lids are topped with blue finials that give the set a slightly whimsical, pagoda-like aesthetic.

Key characteristics:
• Shape: Hexagonal bases and lids — an uncommon and visually striking design choice that lends itself well to decorative display.
• Design: Hand-painted cobalt blue floral and scroll patterns on white glaze; the design has an almost Delft or Imari-inspired flair.
• Material: Likely porcelain or fine ceramic.
• Markings: One piece bears a small oval “Made in Japan” sticker, which suggests post-WWII export ware, likely mid-20th century. These kinds of sets were often produced for Western markets.

This set likely includes a tea or coffee pot and accompanying sugar and spice jars or condiment canistersSee
