Antique Victorian Era Three Tier Dumbwaiter

Description

This antique Victorian era Metamorphic Dumbwaiter or Butler’s Trolley is a remarkable and unique piece. With three tiers, the middle section remains stationary while the top and bottom can be raised or lowered (contemporaneously) and locked into position via a unique “pulley” system. The table’s trestle base and lightly incised carving elevate this piece from a functional server to a stunning decor and conversation piece for your next dinner party! Please refer to condition statement and photos for more details.

Note that the height dimensions in fully extended “three-tier” position is 45″; the height dimensions in fully closed and collapsed position is 32″.See

Of note: repairs have been made to the pulley system allowing the table to operate as intended; the bottom tier has a noticeable bow in it (most evident when the table is in its closed position); there is sun fading on the side of the table, most likely due to the table being left in the open/extended position for many years.
