Antique Globe Wernicke Mahogany Three Stack Barrister Bookcase Size D Grade 598 1/2 C. 1930

Description

This Antique Globe Wernicke Mahogany Three Stack Barrister Bookcase, dating from around 1930, is a classic piece of American craftsmanship. Featuring the iconic modular design for which Globe Wernicke is famous, this bookcase offers ample storage with its three separate, stackable sections. The rich mahogany finish, coupled with the front glass panels, allows for easy viewing of the books or items inside while maintaining a polished and professional appearance.

Each stack is equipped with its original wood pulls and a paper label denoting the piece’s size (D Grade 598 1/2), which serves as a testament to its well-preserved nature. The glass panels, though showing some age, remain intact and add to the bookcase’s vintage charm. The lower shelves are deep enough for larger books or display items, and the overall structure is solid, with minimal wear from use, suggesting this piece has been gently cared for throughout its history.

This bookcase retains all of its original components, including the lower cabinet section, which also features the trademark Globe Wernicke attention to detail. While there is some natural aging visible, it is in good condition for its age and offers a functional and elegant addition to any space, particularly in a home or office setting. 51h x 35w x 11dSee
