An antique English bamboo three-tier stand, circa 1880, with original japanned trays decorated with birds and branches. A fine example of late 19th century Aesthetic Movement design, reflecting the era’s fascination with natural motifs and Japanese influence.
The workmanship is especially notable: each tier is framed by gracefully curved bamboo gallery rails, bent and fitted with precision to encircle the trays. This detail distinguishes the piece from simpler bamboo furniture of the period.
