19th Century Antique Bohemian Oil Lamp Cut Cranberry

Description

This Bohemian oil lamp, with its cranberry-to-clear cut glass reservoir and grapevine motif, is a stunning example of late 19th-century Central European craftsmanship, blending technical brilliance with rich, decorative elegance. The lamp’s reservoir features a cranberry-stained overlay, skillfully wheel-cut to reveal clear glass beneath, forming a detailed grapevine design with leaves, curling tendrils, and clusters of grapes—a symbol of abundance and hospitality. The color gradient, moving from deep cranberry at the top to clear at the bottom, adds a sense of depth and movement, making it a showpiece even before it’s lit.See
