Description

Rare designer crystal vase with deeply cut floral decor of a coniferous tree and pine cones. Luxurious hand-cut very solid glass, signed at the bottom by the author, glass artist – Josef PRAVEC,Bohemia glassworks after 1960. Dimensions – h. 13.75 in , diam. 5.5 in, weight 9.3 lbs.

Excellent with exception of two chips at top, see photos.

Josef Pravec was a glass maker and designer. Studied at the glass school at Novy Bor from 1945-8, then at the Academy of Applied Art in Prague under Karel Štipl from 1949-55.See
