This Vintage Persian Kilim is a hand-woven masterpiece, crafted with wool on a cotton foundation in Iran. At 5’11” x 12’4″ in size, this Kilim & Flat Weave rug showcases the intricate weaving technique of tightly interweaving the warp and weft strands to create a flat surface without any pile. This traditional method, usually done on horizontal looms, results in sharp geometric designs. Not only is this rug lighter and softer than traditional pile rugs, but it also served multiple purposes, such as sofa covers, drapes, pillows, table covers, and wall hangings for insulation from the harsh cold.
